Another post that I highlighted. Thanks for putting some words to fhe feelings that I am experiencing. It is very comforting to se that others have been fhere and found a path to a new self.

I am right in that “slow unlove” period but not yet ready to breakup! I can’t wait to read your next posts on how it all evolved for you.

Thank you for this! It's definitely not easy, it's a difficult process you go through to fully leave the past behind and find a new future. Definitely loss of professional identity has been the hardest thing plus not earning my own money!! I have written a lot of posts on Medium and am going to put some of them here too but they may end up a bit out of order in terms of how things evolved!

Hi Deborah!

A rather topical post, and great to hear your thoughts on and personal experience in this. Your writing is very relatable so thank you for sharing once again. There is loads to unpick there and, after eleven hours at work (...), my brain is not very co-operative. I will come back to this post - fingers crossed I do not forget - to construct some meaningful commentary.

The one thing I would say is that you have introduced me to a new tune. Ashamed to say (having always listened to 'older' songs) but I had never heard of 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers'. I did listen to it and what a wonderful song! I can see how it can be applicable to work; I did listen with my work hat on.

I will need to check out the book you have referenced, also.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It's funny as I don't know whether it's right or not but I tend to include songs and books and other recommendations quite often in my writing. I guess music, books, films all influence what I write. I hope you managed a bit of a rest after eleven hours at work.

It is right and do not let anyone else tell you otherwise. It is funny actually...I never considered weaving these into my writing but, just like they seem to be for you, they are huge influences in my life so it would only make sense.

I will need to catch up on the rest of your posts; simply finding the time (not even making the time at this point!) is always a challenge :)
