I feel this piece keenly. These stories of grief and failure are so close. I am yet to see the film and am glad to know that I must brace myself! The vulnerability is so real at this point, and perhaps an anti-climax as you hold in your hands 'the dream' and realise that it is of course a marvellous thing, but it's not everything! Regardless, the physical book is a wonder and I am most excited to get my signed copy and celebrate the fact that wonderful writing still does get published!
Oh gosh yes Bethany brace yourself re the film! It took me by surprise that it was such a tearjerker! Yes, what I'm learning about having the copies of the book is that it's almost been the journey itself to get there that I value more than having the printed copies. It feels so vulnerable waiting for the next stage of how will it go down, will it resonate, what should I do next! There is no standing still as such. You always have to move on to the next thing!!
Amazing achievement Deborah! Very exciting! Like Suzanne (in another comment), I’d love a first edition too please! DM me how to pay - you have my address. Really looking forward to reading it!
I’ve not seen Mad About The Boy yet, but might take myself there tomorrow afternoon with a box of tissues! X
Most definitely Cecilia I will sort you out with a first edition! Will be in touch. Do go and see Mad About The Boy! I look forward to hearing what you think about it….
So sorry for the tears! I think we all do find our own way of living eventually once we give ourselves permission to step away from how others say we should live… Have a good weekend!
We're on the countdown with you & excited to celebrate, buy, read and support you on this new path. Enjoy, embrace and live life Deborah ✨️
Cathy, this is lovely, thank you!
And there they are! Very much looking forward to your first (of many...) book!
Thanks Rosina, I shall start thinking about book two soon!

Hi Deborah. The big question you haven’t answered yet is “How can I buy a copy of the book”? I’m happy to pledge a pre release order now :)
Me too
Will hopefully share full details on how to get copies this Friday!
Oh I know! I’m almost there with the Amazon pre-sales e-book and paperback links but I’m very happy to post a paperback (first edition!!) to you?
