The time to start is now. Protect the time you set aside to write, you will look back and be glad you did it. I began a change in career 14years ago, so glad I did it.

Thank you As the eldest of 6 kids I recognise this trait I also wanted to please others too much and “do a good job” for others Not recognise that multitasking well there others to shine at one thing and be “successful”

I think having multiple roles can make it difficult to get results. Many who are ‘successful’ have only focused on one thing… Being the eldest of six is not easy!

You are already writing. Each week. And more. It will come. Carve out time for that - a meeting with yourself. Get on a train or find your writing spot away from home. I believe in you. God speed.

Thanks Julie, yes am making plans to block out time and find a space to write that isn't in the hustle and bustle of my house! I never believed in this thing writers do about going off until I tried to find concentrated time! Thanks for your encouragement...

Women are praised for being so good at multitasking but maybe that's just something that's said to keep women juggling lots of things no one really wants to do. Maybe it's the multitasking that kills women's careers.

Yes definitely and I think that's where I've got to with my time. If I want to make writing my second career, I need to prioritise it and that may mean giving up some things that force me to multitask and have multiple roles...
